Like a Santa list, Habakkuk 2:2 & 3 says "…Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry." In other words, if you are believing God for something, write it down. There are angels assigned to do your bidding. God said write it down, make it plain and wait on it.
To wait is not to sit and do nothing. Luke 19:13 says "…Occupy until I come." You have to take what God has already given you, cause it to grow and multiply and He will give your more. In the parable of the talents, when the lord came back the one he had given 5 talents had turned it into 10. The one with 2 talents had turned them into 4, but the one who was given the one talent buried it and it did not prosper. So instead of the lord adding to what he already had, he took it away and gave it to the one who used his talent. Use what you got. Occupy until I come.
As we waited on December 25th, we worked all year at being good so that when the time came, we would be eligible for the good gifts. We may have faltered all through the year, but we were still eligible. We may not have qualified, but we were eligible. I may not have done all that I should have which might disqualify me, but because I have accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior and have been washed in the blood - I Am Eligible! The blood has made me eligible. I was not qualified to be a PREACHER, an ELDER, nor an OVERSEER; wasn't even qualified to be a SAINT, but the blood of Christ made me ELIGIBLE! The Israelites covered their door post with the blood of an unblemished lamb. Jesus, the Holy Lamb of God, covered me with his blood. Now when God looks at me He doesn't see fallible me, but He sees me through that blood.
