Endeavoring to Keep the Unity of the Spirit in the Bond of Peace

Ephesians 4

In this 4th chapter of Ephesians, Paul encourages the believers to become ONE. I'm on your side! He demonstrates the very character of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost; each entity working together as ONE. He moves to a unity of faith and knowledge of the Son to incur a more perfect faith for the believer.

Paul starts the chapter by saying that he is a Prisoner of the Lord. He is captive by choice. One definition of prison is: a secure unit. I' m safe in His arms. I have been arrested by the Holy Ghost and I like it. I surrender all. I'm bound to do His will. I'm obligated to speak His Name. I'm compelled to live for Him. I am prisoner of the Lord.

Paul behooves us to walk worthy of the vocation (the employment, the occupation, the career {some of us may need to make a career change}) wherewith we are called. Worthy is to be creditable. Sinners are watching us. Are we representing Christ well? Do they see us talking like they do, going where they are going, doing what they are doing? Are we wearing the same clothes sinners wear? Is there a difference in our conversation? Is there a difference between the Saint and the Sinner? Leviticus 10:10 state that we must put a difference between Holy and unholy; between clean and unclean. To mix the two is profane.
